I have a job party this weekend. I thought not to go since Im just going to be awkward and not fun over there. But then I figured I should go because I should force myself to be more social or something.

...my coworker said I could bring a friend. You start to realize how little good friends you have when you cant think of anyone to bring.

Maybe I should just back out...

Go. Trust me on this one, just go. It doesn't matter if you have someone to bring along, or even if it turns out to be super awkward. What's important is that they'll remember you came. You might even make a friend! Regardless, job parties aren't like regular parties. People have them to foster a better work environment. I can really help make a better impression if you try to be a part of that stuff.

I just came back from my office's Christmas party. When I was first starting out, I didn't come to the first few because I have an hour commute and I didn't want to be driving that long that late. Now, I go to every one of them for the full length, but every time there's somebody who I worked with years ago who comments how they're surprised I'm here or here this late. It takes years to break a that kind of impression of all the people you make it on.

If you go, I guarantee (no matter what happens) you'll make a better impression than if you don't go.

That does make a lot of sense. Its why I thought o break my anxious habit by putting myself out there to begin with. Thanks for your input. Regards~

Anyways, I drew tons of art \o/ I mean I always do but I posted this time...

I dont typically post traditional because theres like a ton...I make a point to primarily post anything digital I attempt

Excepting the fact that I have any pretty good traditional pieces to show (there's usually way too many to show everything I've drawn ever, I kinda have instagram for that)

I think I bent time guys.

I saw this funny wordplay in a post on Facebook this morning, so I told my brother about it and he said I told him about it a couple days ago. He even told me the definition of the word it emphasized and that I had told him that definition. This morning was the first time I had ever heard that definition (from him), and the first time I had ever heard that word/wordplay.

Then just now for the first time I see the post with the definition. Several hours after he told me I had already told him about it days ago. But it was the first time I saw it according to my linear perception of time.

Maybe you should cut back on the weed.

so i am playing on an out of tune piano which is all well and good

what i seem to have forgotten is that the intro is written in a game boy color tracker, and those are out of tune as well

so i go to find the tonal center and i get a quarter step difference. BEAUTIFUL

Out of tune instruments are always fun for a challenge. Sometimes I like to figure out songs on an badly tuned guitar (mostly when the internet is down).

i would, but two or three notes alone was giving me a headache, so i resolved to work on it at a different time >~<

I call my moms shit stupid all the time, her quilting, her old music, her "fit-bit" obsession and all the tea she drinks. She scoffs at video games, laughs at me for watching cartoons/anime and rips on my junk food habit always. I get along well with my mom too so none of us really get mad.

Little does she know, I love her 80's music but will never admit it. The Cure is the shit...

Remorse is a fascinating feeling. Realizing that you really fucked something important up and might not be able to fix the damage you caused is frankly, awful, but at least it's a learning experience. At the very least recognizing the mistakes i've made will hopefully stop me from repeating them in the future.

It's better to be an optimist during those times than being pessimistic towards yourself.

At least you're looking at the positive end of that spectrum.

There's this kid at my school, he's visibly autistic and appears unaware of it, every single time he sees me, says the same thing "Oh hey, you're WolfNight, didn't we go to high school together?" because yes we did, we had the same class together, and much like back then he would proceed to hug me and then would go on to bring up some random subject like rambling about his job at goodwill or telling me to "watch out for those bears!". He's a very sweet kid, and I inevitably do like running into him at times, despite how awkward it can be...I usually dislike it more when there are other people around because I don't know how they perceive this person or if they'll be mean about it...it can be uncomfortable to have an odd-one-out in a group who can't perceive jokes or derail a conversation with inane things. I have been around "friends" who would be passive-aggressive or mean spirited and especially behind their back

I don't know...I feel like a jerk xP I actually have met a few autistic kids, some more then others and they're really nice and I think other people can be too hard on them, and I can sympathize with them being really awkward and out-of-touch...I kind of understand how hard it is, because I'm weird with socializing, too.

Almost every song I play I play shifted up or down in pitch. I prefer keeping my guitar locked at either Eb-Drop-Db or D-Drop-C. This way I only have to take almost any song up or down at most two half steps, which helps preserve the quality to a fair degree when playing back digital music files, since pitch-shifting is an FFT effect that consistently tells Nyquist and Shannon to go fuck themselves and their sampling theorem. Even RAW audio goes to utter shit once you get past a whole step up or down.

My personal sampling theorem, modified to include digital modifications such as pitch-shifting during live playback - sample at 256x highest audible frequency. FFTs love having those extra sample points and so do my ears.

musically defined steps are one thing for sure

this is more about how (to my awareness) the tuning of most samples and synths used in different consoles (and therefore the emulations of) are not all the same, and therefore conflict a great deal with acoustic instruments if you dont tune each one individually and against what the unmodded intonation is

listen to the undertale soundtrack and keep track of pitch centers. he uses a mixture of 8 bit, digital, emulations of analog synths, and gbc logic emulations as well as fixed sampling and as a result while songs will (usually) be in tune with themselves and therefore not have conflicting resonancies, the intonation from song to song is wildly different

then again intonation is kind of subjective at this point anyways, pianos cant recognize the "correct" tuning of chords inherently unless you tune with specific sets in mind. the third of any chord played on a piano is out of tune due to equal temperament and so thats kind of the primary value of acoustic ensembles; they can are the most reliable way to create harmonies and chord resonance that results from relative tuning

this turned into a tangent but the physics of intonation always interested me, especially as someone who plays mostly fixed/equal temperament instruments

edit: cant sleep, but the "intonation tangents processor" seems to be in full function...

YouTube comments on videos making fun about furries remind me that there are people in this fandom that fit the stereotype bill well.

I always follow the "not give a fuck" route, but of course you're going to get those butthurt ones that complain about Furry Force being offensive and whatnot.

Or those with the strange fanfic comments that I cringe at every time.

Indeed, i did end up being quite pessimistic in situations like this in the past but all that does is make you a miserable person to be around on top of everything else, nothing's really worth wallowing in. Shit happens but you can't let it get to you if you can help it, world keeps turning after all.

My mom is never allowed to bring a watermelon into this house ever again. I had to put half a watermelon slice into the trash after she forgot it was in the fridge for who knows how long.

That thing wasn't even green anymore. It was like sharpee marker black, had white mold on it and how it felt in my hands is....indescribable. Thank god I was wearing gloves...

That sheep looks so confused. Poor sheepie.

Oh no that's Ryan. He was my bro. I hung out with him all the time and he only liked me. I was only 40lbs, and I'd hop on his back while he grazed after school. Let me tell you, if he was unhappy he would have said something then. This was a parade, my grandma was dresses up as a "snowman" lol.

[Redacted]

Ryan also beat up my brother once, when he was trying to collect sheep poo for a school project.
