The forums itself has seen a lot of dramatic, fun, and just downright stupid periods before the "days of 1000 shitposts" and the eventual cataclysm.What are your most memorable moments on FAF? Was it the Thanksgiving banner incident? The Thanksgiving drama pt 2: Cubporn boogaloo? #Zoogate? Making friends? Night of a thousand shitposts? The game-based threads? The Black hole?Post it here! It prevented a lot of people abusing the artists for free art, which was a major problem within the art community on FA/F. I remember at least three occasions where a new user turned up, kinda embedded themselves as a sort of regular poster after about a few months, and then suddenly he'd reveal himself to be Eversleep and everyone started losing their shit before a mod abruptly locked the thread. (Why was eversleep banned in the first place anyway? I don't remember ever finding out myself.) There was another time I remember when somebody posted about being told not to wear a tail at school and complaining about how unfair it was in a thread, and then the thread blew up to about 100 pages in about a day because people were getting really wound up arguing over it with the OP. Was it people overreacting or just the OP intentionally riling everyone up? I dunno, could've been both I guess. Oh! And then there was Arshes-Nei and a lot of other mods being sacked for no apparent reason right before I stopped posting. She wasn't cynical or a douche, but most certainly let me know when I was being dumb. That was fun, and I got the coolest piece of artwork anyone has ever given me. The time we all did a Mafia thread back in Forum Games and people kept drawing art of what happened, usually every time someone died was fun too, even if the first game was a disaster in how bad everyone was.
