Is it something that contributes in a valid way? That's usually accepted.

At a 4 way stop, and across from me is a nissan with two skinny young arab looking guys. I wave out the window for them to go ahead of me, and they honk aggressively at me. When I drive past them, they screech around me at high speed and give me the finger.

I wonder if waving someone through an intersection means something else in the middle east, like "I want to fuck your mother" or something. I wonder what was going through their heads.

I'm fine with people adding more, but I'd rather have the mods turn off the auto-insertion first so those of us who don't want to use them aren't being forced to. That shit's annoying.

Also, the emojis in the dropdown have always been there. The recent thread in Site Discussion was a shitpost.

This sounds like Sonic CD-era music. Actually, a couple of songs immediately came to mind (neither from CD but eh)

Song 1 - I am very confident this has the same or an extremely similar synth as the song you linked. I'm surprised at its versatility- it sounds equally good in an upbeat or downtempo song. (Act 2 is slightly more in the style of your song rather than instrumentation but has the melody of Act 1, if you want to look at that)

Song 2- Honestly, if the strings in this song were replaced by a soft synth, you would have something very similar in style to what you linked, with the active drums and accompanying instruments (although I would say this song stresses melody more than rhythm).

Might not be what you were looking for (and you might have heard these already) but I hope I helped =)

In the primary Discord group you've got  edgy /b/ rejects intermingling and trying their absolute hardest to be edge-lords. Then in the 'totally-selective-'true-phoenixed-users' group (which I deeply apologize for creating), you've got toxic, smug, gossipers circle-jerking.

Pretty sure there's also a third, or even fourth one out there somewhere. The fact that this community is so fragmented shows how much of a disaster it is, really.

The constant bitching, the smugness, schoolyard-esque talking behind other's backs and hive-mind attitude of Phoenixed would be enough to drive anybody insane. Let's not even get into the disgustingly intolerant and overly hostile views that some members share here, and the constant like-whoring that goes on in every single thread. It's a pit of negativity, and I was unfortunate to find myself dragged in with it.

With all that said - I'll always consider Phoenixed to have been a waste of my effort and time. I sincerely regret ever providing for this community in the first place, and staying for as long as I did.

@Eggdodger @6tails @Amiir @Lucyfish @Mentova - You guys are a-okay. Thanks for being some of the few positives that came from me joining this community.

Sidenote: I sure did love returning to the group after a two month long 'break' only to be tossed to the side and trodden on by certain members. (Shoutout to @Liovaire for being a massive jerk.) Porting software still seems like voodoo to me. Swapping out libraries and tweaking code to work just right sounds like the biggest pain in the ass ever.

Still easier than trying to balance out, oh say, 10 different platforms to release on all at once. Yeah, porting can be a pain but its a hell of a lot easier than it used to be.

Regardless, I glad they're only targetting 3 platforms for launch.

That reminds me of those graphics cards by 3dfx. Back when there where many makers of the things rather than just 3. The ancient PC I had in the 90s had a voodoo3 in it alongside a pentium 2 (special snowflake in how those came on daugherboards that went in CPU slots rather than CPU sockets, and you could get adapters called slokets or something)
